Darrell joined the energy industry in 1984 and has a wealth of operational and commercial experience in drilling contracting, oilfield services, and exploration and production (E&P) operations. Throughout his career, Darrel has been committed to introducing new technologies that enhance performance – from managed pressure drilling to artificial lift, including Silverwell’s DIAL technology. Darrell is adaptable and versatile, with vast experience working in key energy locations including West Africa, Nigeria, the UK, and The Netherlands. He has also served in advisory and directorship roles for professional societies and charitable organizations.
Gerard Patterson

Gerry is Vice President of Engineering, with a background in oil and gas technology, having held several product development roles.

Gerry joined Silverwell having already established a successful reputation through senior positions with major oilfield service providers. Starting out as an openhole wireline engineer in northern Canada, he moved on to product development roles in software engineering, mechanical engineering, and project management. Prior to joining Silverwell, he served as Vice President of Engineering for a firm developing well decommissioning technologies with lasers. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Alberta.

With 30 years in corporate and project finance, predominantly in oil and gas, Diane blends sound financial expertise with deep industry knowledge.

Diane trained as an accountant in Edinburgh before joining Marconi Defence Systems and Vickers. Work in banking and the public sector followed before joined the upstream industry with Cairn Energy and most notably as Finance Director with Melrose Resources. Diane has specialized in raising finance as well as the development and co-ordination of finance teams across multi-national sites. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Munro brings more than 30 years of oil and gas industry know-how to manage Silverwell’s contractual and commercial business.

A seasoned chartered accountant with extensive experience in the upstream industry, Munro’s 36-year career has been in senior financial and director roles, notably as Finance Director of Cairn Energy and Melrose Resources, and as CFO of Seven Energy. He has held several executive and non-executive positions with companies in the oilfield services sector. Munro joined Silverwell seven years ago. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Rafael has over 13 years’ experience in successfully driving sales growth in the oil and gas industry, including developing a disciplined sales team. His core competencies include technical sales, business analytics, sales process improvement, and customer relationship management. He has a Master's degree in Business Analytics and Big Data and deploys data-driven insights and tools to optimize sales performance, identify new opportunities, and solve complex challenges. Rafael is passionate about delivering value to clients, enhancing operational efficiency, and learning new skills.

Responsible for developing Silverwell’s Middle East and Asia Pacific regions, Abdel combines nearly 20 years of expertise as an engineer and a manager.

Abdel joined Silverwell in 2015 to boost business growth in the Middle East and Asia. Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, his career began in the automotive industry before joining an artificial lift equipment manufacturer in 2005. He holds Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from ENIM, France, and Bristol University, UK, and is an active and published member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, sitting on the SPE Middle East Artificial Lift Conference Committee.

Joel drives Silverwell’s technology development, with vast experience in R&D, engineering, and product management in upstream and midstream.

With a passion for the oilfield, Joel has held various design, engineering, and product management roles with some of the world’s leading service companies. A creative and innovative leader, Joel has 25 patents related to gas lift, intelligent completions, through tubing tools, monitoring equipment, logging tools, and geothermal systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M with an emphasis on Computer Engineering and recently completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business CTO Executive Training Program.

Darrell leads and manages supply chain operations, bringing 45 years of industry knowledge to Silverwell.

Much of Darrell’s career has been dedicated to formation evaluation - both wireline and MWD/LWD. He has successfully managed projects and production teams in sectors including supply chain management, technology program management, upstream customer service repair and return, and quality control for some of the world’s foremost oilfield service companies. His career has also included global direct sales, product commissioning inventory management, supply chain development, and the manufacture of electro/mechanical sensors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.

Greg provides over 28 years of experience in designing innovative downhole and subsea equipment, backed by 9 issued patents.

Greg joined Silverwell in 2019 as Chief Mechanical Engineer and was promoted to Director of Engineering last year. He has worked for oilfield services providers of all sizes including several major international companies. Greg’s career has included roles in product development for intervention tools, intelligent completion tools, and downhole and subsea fiber optic/electrical connectors, with nine patents issued across various product lines.

Carlos drives the development, implementation, and maintenance of Silverwell’s comprehensive quality, health, safety, security, and environmental management system.

Carlos has over 25 years experience in coordinating operations, expansion projects, growth strategies, manufacturing facilities, assets acquisitions, logistics, and QMS. He is well versed in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma and is Green Belt and API Q1 certified. Carlos has over 14 years’ hands-on experience in developing solutions in the Middle East oil and gas sector for global OEMs. His career has included working for Fortune 500 and multi-national companies and managing diverse and multicultural teams. He is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate and holds an MBA.
